BREAKING: CNN Admits GOP Base United Behind Trump On…
The reaction to the Trump administration’s Venezuelan operation has revealed one unshakable truth. The Republican base has not fractured. It has rallied. The liberal media’s frantic search for cracks in support has found none.
CNN’s own chief data analyst Harry Enten laid it out plainly on the record. There is no rift in the Republican Party over the Venezuelan operation. As Enten said, “Yes, there are some folks like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie who are quite skeptical of this. They are very much in the minority.” That minority is exactly that. A minority.
When Enten looked at the polling, he cited Ipsos showing “65 percent support, six percent oppose” among Republicans for the military involvement that ousted Maduro. He also referenced the Washington Post poll with “74 percent support, just 10 percent oppose.” This is not a base divided. It is a base united.
The CNN data man went further. Among 2024 Trump supporters, “we’re talking about 80 percent support.” Eighty percent. That is overwhelming. The idea that the MAGA coalition abandoned Donald Trump on this issue is something the liberal media dreams about. It does not exist in reality.
Enten repeated what should be obvious. “Donald Trump has had an iron grip, an iron grip on that Republican base for a long period of time.” He noted that Trump’s approval among his base has held steady. “Look at this: 84 percent six months ago, 85 percent now. You do not have to be a mathematical genius to know 85 percent and 84 percent are basically the same number.”
Here is the truth the left cannot stand. Trump’s leadership on foreign policy, even when criticized by a handful of libertarian skeptics in his own party, enjoys resounding approval among Republicans.
And that is not all. CNN reported that interest in Marco Rubio has surged as a result of the Venezuelan operation. According to the network, “Google searches for Marco Rubio are up 575 percent from last month.” This is the second highest level of interest since his 2016 presidential bid.
The narrative that Rubio is taking a hit is simply false. If anything, the conservative base is rewarding leaders associated with Trump’s decisive actions. Rubio is being credited in real time.
CNN even mentioned prediction markets. Rubio’s chances to be the 2028 Republican nominee have more than doubled in a matter of weeks, climbing from eight percent to eighteen percent in a two-person field. Those are numbers pointing up.
The liberal panel on CNN attempted to push back. They tried to frame the Venezuelan operation as something that contradicts “America First” principles. Global affairs commentator Sabrina Singh claimed Republicans are “trying to justify what the president is doing.” But the polls say the base is already there. They have justified it.
Singh’s argument that Republicans are “trying to justify what the president is doing” was met with reality. The reality is that Republican voters are not split. They are coherent. They are strong. They are behind Trump and his team.
The CNN panel tried other angles. They questioned whether the United States is “running Venezuela” because of naval positioning and control over oil exports. But again, this is editorializing. The voters’ support for decisive action is grounded in principle, not confusion.
The panel’s attempt to equate the situation with endless nation building was highlighted by comments about potential law enforcement roles and running courts and elections in Venezuela. But that is not what the American supporters of the operation are focused on. They see the removal of a tyrant.
Liberal commentators even dredged up comparisons to Iraq. Ashley Davis, a former Bush official on the panel, reminded viewers that the American public is wary of “nation building exercises” and that many are concerned about daily life at home.
But this misses the core point of the Republican response. This was not one more quagmire. This was a targeted operation that ousted Nicolás Maduro. As CNN’s own reporting noted, “No one can sit here and argue that it is better off that Maduro was in power, or still in power.”
Senator Lindsey Graham, who is often a vocal voice on foreign policy, praised Trump’s action as something that made America “more prosperous and safer for it.” He prayed for a “fresh start on democracy and freedom” for the Venezuelan people.

Even Rand Paul acknowledged that few Venezuelans would mourn the removal of Maduro, while emphasizing constitutional limits to presidential war powers. His voice shows debate within conservatism, but not rupture with Trump.
CNN reported that Paul did not overtly criticize Trump, but stressed the importance of constitutional limits on executive war powers. That is a conservative debate, not a base revolt against Trump.
Critics in the liberal commentariat worried aloud about long term U.S. presence in Latin America because Trump spoke about Cuba and made forthright comments about Colombia’s president. Once again, this is a media obsession with minutiae while ignoring the base’s clear support.
CNN noted that “Trump doubled down” on his comments about Cuba, but that did not translate into Republican base hesitancy. That was CNN’s interpretation, not the party’s reality.
CNN’s own reporting also highlighted voices within the GOP who initially had questions about constitutional authority. Senator Mike Lee questioned the legal basis early on, then after a briefing from Rubio said, “This action likely falls within the president’s inherent authority under Article II.”
That is significant. Republican lawmakers are debating, but they are not rejecting Trump’s leadership. They are interpreting and aligning.
The liberal narrative that this operation somehow isolated Trump even among Republicans has clearly failed. Instead of division, the base has rallied. Instead of hesitation, Republicans have shown overwhelming support.
And the left’s attempt to manufacture dissent with select quotes from dissenters cannot mask the real polling data. Republican voters have spoken. They are with their president.
The liberal media’s framing of this operation as a betrayal of MAGA principles has been shot down by the facts. They insist on their own interpretation. The base insists on its own priorities.

Trump’s firm grip on the party was confirmed not by invisible instincts but by visible polling, visible support, and visible momentum for conservative leaders aligned with the operation.
Even CNN’s own data analysis confirms that fact. Republican voters show unified support. They are not splintered. They are not confused. They are not breaking from their leader.
The liberal narrative cannot withstand empirical reality. Republican voters see strength. They see decisive action. They see an America First president delivering results.
